the ring of kerry

Have you ever heard of the Ring of Kerry? (It’s okay if you haven’t because I never have until I started researching for my Ireland trip). It is a 179 km (or 111 miles) circular route along the coast of south-western Ireland. You get views of lakes, beaches, cliffs, the whole works.

Because of its location, it seems that Killarney might be the more popular town to stay at if you’re planning on visiting the Ring of Kerry. It’s a great place to stay if you want to get away from the city. And it’s also not too much of a ‘small town’ that you’ll start getting cabin fever. There are plenty of little shops, restaurants and a few local bars.
