a beach in vernazza

After lunch in Corniglia, another 4.5 km hike brought us to our third town, Vernazza.

Find your way to the cave. Once you go under it, there’s a beach on the other side. It’s not the typical sandy beaches you’re probably used to. Instead, it’s a rocky beach. If you look closely at the rocks, they’re all very colorful and a lot of them have been uniquely weathered by the ocean. I took a couple home for myself as a souvenir. Not even sure if that’s legal to do so but hey, I’m already a criminal, so I might as well! (see Milan scalping incident). Also in Vernazza is a gelato place called Il Porticciolo, where I had the best gelato of my life. Supposedly, they use grape juice to make their gelato instead of sugar.
